What is a Masa Kumta?

Masa kumta: The ISraeli beret march

A Masa Kumta signifies the end of the IDF basic combat training.

This one final test, requires you to head out with your brigade on a trek of 50km-100km, where at the end you receive your beret, signifying your official platoon.

A Masa Kumta is done in  two single file lines, usually at night in complete silence. You are required to wear your full combat uniform including your combat vest, personal gun, water packs, stretchers etc. You'll be walking at a very fast pace, between 6-10 km/h with partial steep inclines.

Sounds fun doesn't it?
